Questions

Plain answers before you send a drawing

Where the drawings go, which trades it covers, what it can read, how far to trust it and how a trial works.

Your drawings

Do you train AI on my drawings?

No. We use your drawings to do your review and nothing else. We don't train models on them, and we've confirmed the same with Meta and Baseten, the 2 services the review can run on.

Where do my drawings go during a review?

To the workspace set up for your trial, and to the AI models that do the reading: Muse Spark 1.3 reads the sheets and SAM 3.1 measures colored plans, both on the Meta Model API. Where it can, each call sends a crop of the sheet instead of the whole package. If your firm needs something stricter, that's what our enterprise solution is for: deployment, access and data handling are agreed with your firm.

Do you have an enterprise solution?

Yes, for firms with stricter requirements. Reading can run on Muse Spark Open, Meta's open-weight model, and deployment, access and data handling are agreed with your firm. Say so in the request form and we'll start there.

Who can see my drawings in a trial?

Only the people named for your trial, in a workspace just for you. We'll sign an NDA if you want one.

What happens to my drawings after the trial?

We delete them at the end of the trial if you ask. They're encrypted in transit, and at rest for hosted trials.

Can I see what the AI was asked and what it answered?

Yes. We record every AI call, what went in and what came out, so any result can be audited.

What it covers

Is it only for landscape?

No, though landscape is where it started and it's the most complete. For architecture, it only checks that the drawings hold together: scale bars, sheets that look like copies, missing sheets, legends against hatching. For structure, it only catches conflicts that show on landscape sheets. MEP isn't built yet and comes next. Our test numbers come from a sample landscape package, so they don't tell you how another trade will do. Whatever your trade, send the request and we'll tell you what it can check today.

Which files can it read?

DXF, PDF (vector, raster and text), pasted images and .xlsx bills of quantities. It unpacks zips too. DWG files have to be saved as DXF first, and it tells you so if you drop one in.

Do I have to clean up the folder first?

No. Drop it in as it came: CAD sheets, scans, Excel bills of quantities, backups. Every file gets a verdict and a reason, and LandSight works out which bill is the one that counts.

What if there's no CAD, only a colored plan?

It can still measure it. It reads the color names in the legend, then measures every patch of that color on the plan. Where there's CAD, the CAD area wins and the color measurement is the cross-check.

Which building code does it check?

The code that applies where you work. Today these checks cover landscape work. We set up the code sections for your jurisdiction at the start of a trial. In the US that usually means the IBC as adopted by your state or city, plus local zoning and landscape ordinances. In the UK it means the Building Regulations and the conditions on the planning permission. The online sample runs on Taiwan's building code: greening with the tree-pit rule, the fire-lane deduction, corridor widths, soil depth for planting on a slab, protected trees and the green-building document checklist. A result is a review, not legal advice. A registered architect signs off.

Whose prices does it use?

Yours. It checks each line of the bill against your firm's own price list. The list in the online sample is only a sample, built from published public budgets.

How far to trust it

How accurate is it?

On a sample landscape package with 30 planted errors: 28 found, 2 flagged for a person, 0 missed. That package is synthetic, and we don't have results on real customer drawings yet. The numbers don't carry over to other trades either. Finding out is what the trials are for.

Does it replace my estimator?

No. Nothing counts until a person confirms. It does the counting and cross-checking, and your estimator decides what stands, with every number 1 click from the drawing it came from.

How long does a review take?

On the sample landscape package, about 10 minutes, against about 2 weeks by hand. We haven't timed other trades yet.

Trying it

Can I see it without sending any drawings?

Yes. The online sample runs in your browser, with nothing to install. It's a synthetic landscape package and a recorded review.

How do I start a trial?

Fill in the request form. It goes straight to the founder, who'll get in touch to set it up.

Still have a question?

Put it in the notes of the request form. It goes straight to the founder.
